About Alzahid Group

The Alzahid Group of Companies was founded in 1951 by Alzahid Family through Alzahid Construction. All through that time, constructions was in full flourish and were involved in town planning, By 1958 the company was in full swing, building bridges, tunnels, flyovers, roads, to give a few examples also Alzahid Group had the honorable distinction of being the most dynamic Company with steady growth.
By 1972, the Group had interests in a variety of fields and moreover Group Divisions had technical collaboration with many reputed foreign organizations. This feature of our divisions helped us to provide the best solutions for the high quality services. We are confident that our customers remain satisfied with our performance and professional services with the group's divisions until today. The Group has 4 Major Divisions consist of Industries, Constructions, Mining, and Trading & Services
The Group has different investments worldwide and plans are in the pipeline to increase international investments for the year 2010-2011 by 23%. Each company operates independently of the other, managerially, financially and strategically and that has been the general policy since the inception of Alzahid. The general contemporary strategy adopted as a trail to globalization is to find the right partners throughout the world to work together with a warm handshake for the general prosperity of all involved.
The Alzahid Group further supports growth by joining with business units to develop a comprehensive plan to meet the company’s manpower which is a total of 37,800 employees World Wide. We believe that our ethical commitments are just as important as economic factors with a focus on a ambitious global growth strategy in the worldwide market. With a tremendous increase of its operations it is estimated that by the end of 2011, Alzahid Group will have over 41,000 employees.
The board of directors, chaired by an elected member on a tri-annual basis, is made up of eight members. This board saw the need for an in-house finance system to avoid the problems that many business entities suffer, due to dependence on monetary institutions, and decided to establish a member company to finance the complete operations of the group. That is how Alzahid Finance was created.
The total turnover for the group in the domestic market for the year 2009 was 14.3% higher than the year before and for the international investment, the turnover for the same period was 11.1% higher than the year 2008.
